We accept most major insurances, including Oregon Health Plan. We want to make high quality, personalized mental health care as accessible as possible for each person who comes through our doors.
Oregon Health Plan
Bridge City Counseling is contracted with Oregon Health Plan open card, Health Share of Oregon and Care Oregon.
- Most clients with active coverage through Oregon Health Plan will have their coverage assigned to a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). With a few exceptions most Oregon Health Plan members in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas County are covered under the CCO Health Share of Oregon.
- If you have Health Share of Oregon your mental health coverage will then be through Care Oregon (even if your physical health plan is through OHP Kaiser, OHP OHSU, or OHP Legacy.
- Bridge City Counseling can treat OHP Health Share members as long as they aren’t already being treated at another clinic. If you have sought or received mental health services through another provider or clinic within the last 6 months and wish to have your authorization transferred to Bridge City Counseling, please let us know this when you contact us.
- Oregon Health Plan, Health Share, and Care Oregon members have no copay or deductible for outpatient mental health care as long as their coverage remains active.
- Coverage of services and the number and frequency of sessions is based on medical necessity.
Commercial Insurance
Most of our clinicians are in-network and preferred providers with:
- Kaiser
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans
- Pacific Source
- Moda
- First Choice
We are out-of-network with most other insurances and many insurances have out-of-network coverage rates.
- Please contact your insurance company and consult your insurance plan documents prior to starting services to verify that you are covered to receive outpatient mental health counseling through a counselor at Bridge City Counseling.
- You may have a copayment or coinsurance. If you have a deductible check if the deductible must be met prior to their insurance paying for mental health benefits and if there are any non-covered services or limits to the amount of services.
- Bridge City Counseling will provide a courtesy benefit check for new clients and can share with clients the information we receive in regards to your copay amount, in-network or out-of-network status, and deductible. (NOTE: We are unable to guarantee the accuracy of the information provided to us by your insurance company and it is very helpful to have you also verify all this information).
- Kaiser Members: Mental health services must be authorized prior to services started and a referral must be made from Kaiser to Bridge City Counseling in order for services to be covered at our clinic. We are happy to walk you through that process of calling to obtain an authorization and referral once we verify that we have a counselor who would be a good fit and who has an opening for you.
