Sheryl is a therapist who believes that you are the author of your own story; the expert of your own experience. She thrives to create a space where you feel safe, cared for, respected, heard, and welcomed to explore the deeper layers of your experience in each session. They believe in the mantra “Every experience is a new opportunity to learn.”

Sheryl’s approach to therapy centers on a relational, multicultural, trauma-informed and social justice lens, meaning that conversations will intentionally include your cultural identities and social locations, as well as the broader contexts of your lived experiences. Through collaboration, they hope to explore your concerns and create possibilities that you can implement into your life, while acknowledging the sources of strength and resiliency you already possess. Sheryl emphasizes the collaborative process in hopes of finding strategies and tools that work best for each individual client.

Sheryl has experience working with diverse populations, including youth, young adults, and older adults, as well as BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. Her therapeutic work with clients have addressed a range of presenting concerns including: Anxiety, Depression, neurodivergence, self-esteem, self-compassion, emotional regulation, grief, and sexuality. They also have experience in assessing and providing letters of support for gender-affirming medical care, in accordance with WPATH-8 guidelines. Being Filipino and queer herself, Sheryl understands the importance of having brave/safe spaces for other individuals with similar identities.

Outside of work, Sheryl enjoys playing video games, listening to music, reading, and cooking. They look forward to meeting and working alongside anyone who is willing to take the next step on their healing journey.
